Dilwale (transl. Bravehearts) is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Gauri Khan and Rohit Shetty. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, while Boman Irani, Johnny Lever, Vinod Khanna, Kabir Bedi, and Sanjay Mishra play supporting roles. Plot
The film follows the story of two estranged lovers, Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) and Meera (Kajol), who belong to rival crime families in Bulgaria. Raj, who is also known as Kaali, falls in love with Meera during a car chase, but later discovers that she is the daughter of his enemy, Dev Malik (Kabir Bedi). Meera also betrays Raj and shoots him on her birthday, leaving him heartbroken. Fifteen years later, Raj and Meera's younger siblings, Veer (Varun Dhawan) and Ishita (Kriti Sanon), meet and fall in love in Goa. They are unaware of their siblings' past and plan to get married. However, their love story is threatened by the return of Dev Malik, who wants to kill Raj and his family. Raj and Meera have to confront their past and decide whether they can forgive each other and reunite their families.
